Sorry that I wasn’t able to sit down and write one of these for June! A bit of travel plus a very busy month meant that I’ve been completely swamped. This July I coordinated my first site sale plus giveaway, which drew in a lot of traffic and quite a few product sales. Between onboarding new clients and managing all that, I’ve had little time for a lot of other stuff.
Stats For July:
Fitness in July has been a bit on and off, with allergies acting up. However, I’ve generally been able to be more consistent than in previous months. It’s definitely showing, and I’m getting near the higher end of my volume for the cycle. Weight wise, I’ve been trying to put on mass, but struggled a bit with diet adherence due to how busy I’ve been.
Languages, Danish and French:
Languages have fallen by the wayside some more, and I’m planning on getting back on track on these soon. I keep having that bug that tells me to learn a new language - but I’ve got more than enough on my hands just practicing and refining what I already know.
Writing has managed to go very well, and I’ve been able to get in a surprising amount of personal writing. I’ve also been working on a new paid product that I’m excited to polish up and release soon. My writing backlog has grown quite a bit recently, but I’ve been very proactive at working it down, so I should be able to stop focusing on it soon.
Reading has also gone surprisingly well, driven mostly by audiobooks. I tried to make physical reading a bit of a priority this month as well, and that’s helped clear through a lot of my backlog. There’s not much left in my backlog now, which is pretty exciting.
Television continues as usual. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I’ve definitely passed out of the “watching stuff I haven’t seen before that I care about” phase, and am getting into the “watching stuff I haven’t seen before that I don’t particularly care about” phase. Soon, I’ll be entering the “rewatching the good stuff” phase, which will really free me up mentally to focus on other stuff, particularly while playing video games.
Video game consumption has gone well, and I’ve finished up a lot of the stuff on my backlog. Currently working through Wolfenstein 1&2, since they were on sale, but after that I won’t have much else.
Coding has fallen by the wayside again, although my intention is still to get back to it soon, once I can clear up my writing backlog.
The big focus for habits right now has been diet, in particular, trying to focus on bulking up. While this hasn’t been going particularly well due to how busy I am, I’m stepping back a bit on my workload this month after last month’s sale, so I’m planning on having more time to focus on it. Sleep has been going very well.
Business has gone very well this month due to the sale. Some of July’s numbers will be delayed into August due to the time taken to onboard new clients, but this will of course be offset by lack of product income due to the end of the sale.
- Patreon: $1682
- Other Clients: $4122
- Other Income: $363
- Product Income: $430
Moving Ahead, August:
The goal for August is really just to relax a bit more and work a bit less. To focus more on training, personal development, and getting back on track with my non-business work. I’m also working on my new product, which I’m hoping to release within the next few months.
July has been a weird month, with my stepdaughter coming down with a pretty hefty illness, my fiancee catching it worse, and everything being hectic with onboarding new clients. I’m planning to get much more serious about getting less serious this month, and just enjoying myself a bit more. At least the heat has finally broken here in London, and I’m getting to enjoy reasonable weather again.
