April, as I expected, was a month of getting back into the swing of things. I temporarily lifted my normal limits on how many clients I accept per month in order to make up for time off, and I was exceptionally busy with the process of onboarding new clients. As a result, it was a good month for my business, but I also let my efforts in other places slide a little bit.
Stats For April:
In April, I was able to get back into the swing of things with lifting. I also made the decision to transition from focusing on strength, to focusing on size. I’ve lost about 5-10kg in the last few months, largely due to not eating enough and not training enough. So, the initial focus has been on regaining some of the weight that I’ve lost, which has already started. On the plus side, I was starting off from a leaner place than usual, but on the minus side my strength has suffered a bit as a result. Getting back to size-focused training has been exciting, and I’ve already seen some solid results.
Languages, Danish and French:
I haven’t had a chance to start working with French again, but I’ve been continuing to focus on my Danish. Aside from reading and taking flashcard notes, I’ve also been catching up on a lot of Danish television, which has helped quite a bit.
Writing has been slow but steady. I’ve continued to focus on short stories and other shorter pieces for the time being, as I don’t have the time to dedicate to longer pieces for now.
Reading slowed down in April. I ran out of audiobooks/the attention span to listen to them, and getting full internet meant less time to focus on reading in my off time. I’ve been catching up more on television as a result.
Time without internet, combined with the large amount of new programming Netflix has added, means that I’ve been very busy catching up on television. Aside from that, moving to the UK has meant a new selection, including a lot of new British programs, so that’s also expanded my list.
That said, I’m making good progress and expect to once again be through it soon, in the next month or two, freeing me up to focus more on other pursuits.
Having internet again means more options for games, and I’ve focused on clearing through Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Still, soon to run out here.
I’ve continued to focus on improving my personal habits, with a better sleep schedule and more personal tracking. This has gone relatively well - not perfectly, but about as well as can be expected. Aside from that, I’ve also been better about using routines and accountability methods to keep myself on track when working - which has been particularly useful this month, given how busy I am.
This month was a month of huge focus on business, and it’s gone well, onboarding a lot of new clients. Aside from that, I’ve finally figured out how to properly manage advertising for the site, and that’s brought in a lot of new readers. As a result, it’s all gone very well, and I’m on track to focus on expanding the site itself in the future. I also had a few prepays, inflating my numbers a bit for the month.

Moving Ahead, May:
Further development of the site is the current priority: accepting guest posts, further pushing advertising to draw in new readers and product income, and some overhauling to make the site more user-friendly. Aside from that, I’ll be closing off on accepting more than the usual number of clients so that I can focus on serving the clients I do have, while having time to relax, recover, and focus more on my training and other projects.
London has been an excellent place to live, and I’m loving it here already. One wonderful side effect of the move is cheap health care and cheap dental, which has allowed me to take care of myself a bit more than in previous years. I’m also enjoying the food, seeing friends, and otherwise living in a big city.
